Parent Coaching
Struggling to understand and deal with a child’s behaviors?
Don’t have time or finances to commit to weekly therapy sessions?
Parent coaching might be right for you!
Coaching is not therapy.
How is it different from therapy?
Unlike therapy, with coaching there is no formal diagnosis, no treatment plans or goals, nor the expectation of weekly or regular appointments. Coaching only involves parents and caregivers, not the child. Coaching is not subject to any federal or state licensing rules or regulations.
What can I expect from a coaching session?
You bring your concerns or problems and we come up with possible solutions together. Typical coaching sessions might include gathering some basic information to provide context to the current circumstances, your description of a specific problem behavior, discussing potential contributing factors to the behavior, and exploring parenting strategies that might help.
Each session is a “stand alone” session with no expectation of additional sessions.
How much is a coaching session?
$200 for a 45-minute session
Can I use insurance or submit claims for out of network reimbursement?
Coaching is not considered healthcare and is therefore not covered by health insurance and there is no out-of-network coverage or reimbursement by insurance.
